Woke up in Alabama Hills; a time capsule of the Wild West.
Good mornin' beautiful. The all new "Rogue Star" 90's cap.
The landscape was Straight Outta This World.
An hour into the mountains, we find our first sign of Fall.
A path paved in gold.
Who says California doesn't have seasons? We come upon a Fall Spectacular at our 1st lake of the day.
Hiked around Lake Sabrina to escape the crowds.
Hoppin' back to the car to search for North Lake.
Nature has quite the color palette.
And there you have it, the meadow crested North Lake.
With most misadventures spent seeking long hikes or cliff jumping perches, it was surprisingly satisfying as we simply sat quiet, immersed in the moment.
Each path we took seemed to explode with color.
This is how we actually test & shoot our apparel. We like to immerse the gear we design in the misadventures we take.
We've struck gold! The stoke remains high.
Pack mule carrying supplies for back country hikers.
Don't worry, he had some help.
What?! Can't believe our eyes as we stumble across this waterfall.
Gold litters our path as we ascend to the alpine wonder, Treasure Lake.
South Lake sits to the right of the trail turning silver in the setting sun.
Suddenly we stop; alpine sickness kicks in....hard.
With no other choice we head to lower elevation at a slow pace.
Quite a humbling experience. Often times the most valuable part of a misadventure is the least pleasant to go through. We'll be back!
